The LOKAL-LINK offers a unique and immersive train journey along the East Coast Railway Link (ECRL) in Malaysia. Traversing the scenic landscapes of the east coast states of Peninsular Malaysia, this journey showcases the region’s natural beauty, cultural diversity, and historical significance. We believe that the journey itself is a significant part of the destination involves creating an experience that is immersive, engaging, and memorable. The goal is to transform the travel time into an integral and enjoyable part of the trip, rather than just a means to an end.

Each carriage exterior is designed based on iconic motifs representing Selangor, Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan, yet they all speak a coherent design language that is simple and elegant. This unified approach ensures that while each state’s unique cultural identity is highlighted through distinctive patterns and colors, the overall appearance of the train remains harmonious and visually appealing.
The sensory integration aspect is designed to fully immerse throughout the journey. This will be achieved through advanced features such as interactive screens with smart film technology that dynamically provide real-time information, cultural stories, and virtual tours of the regions being traversed. These screens with their featured content based on the train’s location offers passengers a continuously evolving narrative.
A diverse range of cultural programmes highlighting the heritage and traditions of the regions the train passes through allows passengers to engage and learn about traditional crafts, cuisine, and music.
On board kitchens offering meals that highlight the cuisine of the regions the train passes through, complete with storytelling about the dishes.
